Beat Buffet presents its third fundraising dance party this Saturday at the Lincoln Arts Centre warehouse.
Beat Buffet has previous donated all of its proceedings to charity. They do an exceptional job with decor and presentation of their events, and play a mixture of house, techno and progressive styles of beats.
Their guests for this event include local stalwarts Bass Bin Laden, Flip3k, Muska and Mish’chief, as well as BB crew members Danov, Gabriel Gilmour, Y Knot and Shuttersound. Shuttersound has recently had more profile on the Melbourne beats scene with her blend of bassy house beats supporting Owen Howells at Trans Melbourne Xprss and weekly dinner showcases at The Thornbury Local.
Previous beneficiaries from Beat Buffet charity have included Lentil As Anything and the Tibetan Women’s Soccer Team in Dharamsala. The Dalai Lama was photographed holding one of their team shirts that purchased using the donation money from the event for uniforms.
This Beat Buffet’s beneficiary will be Victoria’s own Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary, a non-profit santuary for rescued farm animals. A worthy cause, highlighting the positive energy some participants in Melbourne’s electronic music scene act in.
If that’s not enough, you can bring your own grog! Please drink responsibly. 😉
Starts 9pm. Lincoln Arts Centre, 24 Lincoln Street, Brunswick East. $15/20 (all proceeds go to charity).
