Wax Museum make a comeback with their hip-hop focused events with their new series at all-night club Boney.
Wax Museum are a store located under Flinders Street station in Campbell Arcade, specialising in brand new and second-hand vinyl releases. Their previous series Dojo (at The Order of Melbourne) was popular for its combination of local acts and special treats, and also as a fun place to be on a Saturday night.
Special treats this time around come from Nekta, an MC originating from the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. He has “paid his dues” over the years as both graph artist and MC, and is part of the Street Science project – and now currently – the Window Down crew.
Last year, Nekta released a collaborative effort fellow crew member Flush entitled Commonwealth, and now he will be celebrating the launch of his debut solo album – Dear Diary – a six-track EP which contains production collaboration with Must Volkoff of Pang Productions, as well as featuring Pisces and G-Smooth.
Nekta’s act will be hosted by One Sixth, and supported by World Champion DJ J-Red, Pisces with Dj Arson + Sonzu, and Bale + Retainer.
Other acts on the Wax Museum bill include Arks, No Name Nathan, Amin Payne and J Love.
