Friday 14 February – Adam Freeland @ New Guernica

Scoff if you like about Adam Freeland, but there’s no denying his importance to breakbeat electronica in the late 90s.

As a DJ and producer, he collaborated with Kevin Beber as one half of duo Tsunami One, and also mixed originals and remixes under his own name. His label Marine Parade released cuts from such heavy-hitters as Evil Nine and Alex Metric, and he also hosted a show at UK’s Kiss 100 FM between 1999-2001.

If you like your breakbeats, come see Freeland this Friday at New Guernica. Local artists supporting him are Phil K, Rollin Connection, Dave Juric, Walter Juan, Flip3k,, Gabriel Gilmour, Sebastian Wild, Lanksta and Torben.

Starts 10pm. New Guernica, 322 Little Collins StreetMelbourne CBD. $35.80.
