Friday 18 October – Sound of Thought four @ MyAeon feat. Lowtec

School of Thought are a crew and label linked by the unbridled passion one feels for dancing uncontrollably to bottom-end heavy tech and house styles of music.

For this event they’re inviting Jens Kuhn aka Lotec to play, whose unorthodox and ecletic approach to tech styles reminds me personally of luminaries like DJ Koze.

Lotec as a tune pusher was partially responsible for vinyl label R.A.N.D Muzik in 1995, and had a hand in the understated Out To Lunch and United States of Mars labels later. Currently, Lotec works with partner Evan Tuell on pioneering imprint Workshop.

Supporting him are Mos Howieson [live], SOT inside, and Pleasure Planet’s Lindsay Tuc, Will Elder and Phaon outside.

Tickets are strictly limited to 150, and are reportedly running out.

Starts 10pm. MyAeon, 791 Sydney Road, Brunswick. $15/20.
