The enigmatic Zomby should be scheduled for an appearance at Melbourne’s Liberty Social very shortly, and apparently there’s only around 100 presales left for grabs, if the promoters of this event are to be believed.
However, Zomby’s reputation for pulling out of events precedes him, so I would be a bit wary of presales for this. But apart from that, if he does decide to show up and play, it should be a night to remember.
He has recently released a double album of 33 tracks on 4AD – With Love – which is an assortment of inexplicably crafted oddities of shifting textures and as an ode to a variety of UK bass music that many have found both exotic and a bit stop-go. I would say maybe on this one, it could either be a classic or a waste of time, depending on Zomby.
