Local live jazz and electronic improvisation group Virtual Proximity launch their new EP – Blue Glow Path – at the Uptown Jazz Cafe in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. They utilise an array of unusual midis including in performance including a midi saxophone.
Virtual Proximity have previously released two self-titled full-length albums in 2009 and 2011, the first of which is available for purchase for collectors in a bejewelled CD case. All other work of VP comes via Bandcamp in a pay-as-you-please format.
Supporting Virtual Proximity are experimental downtempo electronic musicians Chris Port and James Gilligan.
