Heavy Innit will be presenting a huge line-up upstairs this Friday at Brown Alley for the dubstep heads, at the same time the Babicz and Romboy fans tech out downstairs. This will be a triple-header, featuring Caspa, Von-D and Perverse.
Caspa needs no introduction. This West Londoner has been releasing dubstep and grime since 2006, and has been involved in establishing the genre for even longer.
Von-D is also a prominent centre-stage figure as a luminary of UK Dubstep, featuring on the Dubstep All-Star Compilation (Tempa/Soul Jazz records) and having various releases on big dubstep labels like Hench and Black Acre Records.
New Zealand’s Perverse feature as a dark and atmospheric third headliner, of whom deep dubstep heads are most likely to lap up as the first and foremost act at this night. Their organic and spacious use of sub-bass frequencies define body shuddering 21st century bass music.
Locals featured are Affiks + A13, Philosoraptor and the Bass Art DJs. Tickets are $20 presale and $25 on the door. There is a limited capacity for this event, so best not to gamble and buy your presale.
Friday 31 May 2013, Starts 10pm, 585 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.
