Uncomfortable Beats comes back after a long break in between events to start the academic year.
Uncomfortable Beats are a fresh click based in Melbourne who traverse through multiple genres, but find their true home in abstract hip-hop stylings.
The event will take place at the Cape Lounge, located on the corner of iconic Brunswick Street and Johnston Street in Fitzroy, now under new management. This in itself represents a breakthrough for underground EDM at large in that there is a new venue for beats artists to showcase their work to a broader audience.
Uncomfortable Beats head honcho and curator Dave “Able” Di Palo believes this event “…provides immense bang-for-buck.” He has secured international guest producer and DJ Doshy from Berlin, and believes Doshy is “…the perfect mix between hip-hop, dubstep and trap.”
Also to entice punters are the $5 cocktails in the first two hours of this event, and the stellar interstate support line-up of Aoi, 2fuddha (ACT), Able8, Shi-Kung and Bevin Campbell.
This event takes place this Saturday night (23 February, 2013), entry is $10 and doors open at 9pm, going through until 3am.
